Tamara Edwards, President/CEO

Tamara Edwards

President/Chief Executive Officer

Tamara Edwards is the Founder and President/Chief Executive Officer of Project MARC (Making A Real Commitment) 25 and is the owner of Tamara L. Edwards & Associates LLC, “Create A Life You Love” life coaching and business management services. Tamara Edwards is a retired Administrator with the City of Richmond’s - nationally recognized Office of Neighborhood Safety (ONS) and was tasked at overseeing the daily operations and fiscal coordination of grant funded programs designed to address gun violence prevention and intervention initiatives that foster greater community well-being and public safety. Tamara has over 25 years of managerial experience in the government, nonprofit and for profit sectors and is known to be a strong leader with the ability to build consensus among staff, community members, clergy, stakeholders, and government leaders to meet program objectives and create impact. Tamara is the past board member (President) of the Oakland/San Francisco Chapter of the National Forum for Black Public Administrators (NFBPA); chaired many committees which included the City of Richmond’s Contract Management Administration Program Committee and the City of Richmond’s Employee Black History Luncheon Committee. Tamara holds a B.A. in Liberal Studies from California Institute of Institute of Integral Studies, A.S. in Business Management from Contra Costa Community College, and certificates in Supply Management, California State University East Bay; Community Leadership Institute - Richmond Community Foundation; Executive Leadership Institute - National Forum for Black Public Administrators and the IGNITE breakthrough-Neuro-Linguistic Programming Life Coaching. Additionally Tamara is a certified Anger Management and Lifeplan Facilitator.

Kanwarpal Dhaliwal

Vice President

Kanwarpal Dhaliwal (she/hers) is the Vice President of Project MARC (Making A Real Commitment) 25 and is the Associate Director and Co-Founder of RYSE in Richmond, CA. Kanwarpal is the daughter of Punjabi immigrants, whose journey to the United States was propelled by global shifts from Post-Colonial British occupation to US empire building. These forces have been both protective and predatory for Kanwarpal, her family, and her community of origin. These axes of privilege and subjugation guide Kanwarpal’s purpose, which is to contribute to movements, communities, and legacies of liberation; to honor and heal the ancestors who fought for her existence and survival; and to forge a world that is just and gentle for future generations. Kanwarpal holds a Master’s Degree in Public Health from San Francisco State University.

Kendall Brooks

Treasurer

Kendall Brooks is the Treasurer of Project MARC (Making A Real Commitment) 25 and is the CEO of Katybee’s Consulting, life coaching services. Kendall has over 20 years experience in management and entrepreneurship. In his current business he supports others to discover their purpose and attain their dreams! Kendall possesses great integrity, wisdom, perseverance and is community service oriented. Through volunteering his time at PM25, he has demonstrated both diligence and dedication in the following capacities: financial advisor, fundraising, networking, mentor to staff/volunteers and production assistant. Kendall has a Master of Arts Degree in Adult Education and Training and a Bachelor's of Arts Degree in Workforce Education, Training and Development.

Zelda Curry

Executive Board Member

Zelda Curry is a Executive Board Member of Project MARC (Making A Real Commitment) 25. Zelda has worked in the real estate industry since 2002, serving the Northern California Bay Area. Zelda has sought to provide the highest possible standards of service and a thorough, analytic approach to every transaction. Zelda is the President of Casa del Prado Townhomes in Solano County, she has served on the board for 5 years. Zelda is a member of the Solano County, Black Chamber of Commerce, and supports her community.

Trina Jackson-Lincoln

Secretary

Trina Jackson-Lincoln is the Secretary of Project MARC (Making A Real Commitment) 25. Trina has worked in Civil Service as an Administrator for over 25 years; as the Liaison to the City Council, City of Richmond, CA, she is responsible for analysis of diverse operations, managing the office, making recommendations to resolve organizational/operational matters, implementing solutions to problems, formulating administrative procedures, preparing a wide variety of written materials, serving as a community liaison, managing the operational budget and coordinating with other departments, committees and agencies. Trina is dedicated to the Richmond community in which she was born and raised; she fosters and supports many community events and programs. Trina holds a Bachelor’s of Arts Degree in Human Development from California State University, East Bay.
